On October 31, 2024, the Valencian Community witnessed one of the most devastating natural disasters in recent years. The DANA (High-Level Isolated Depression) caused intense rains that devastated entire towns, leaving hundreds of families in a state of emergency. Amid the chaos and uncertainty, solidarity initiatives emerged, demonstrating that, even in the darkest moments, empathy and collective action can make a difference.
At WoiramCards, we couldn't stand on the sidelines. As a small business, we knew we couldn't move mountains, but we could do our part. So, we decided to create a charitable product: a commemorative card featuring the character Marco the Phoenix , a symbol of rebirth, resilience, and hope. This card was not only designed with special care and attention to detail, but was also launched with a clear objective: to raise funds to directly help those affected by this tragedy .
All the proceeds from the sale of this letter—almost €700 —were donated entirely to Los Candy Boys , who donated and distributed food, cleaning products, and basic necessities to the affected families. They were the ones who did the legwork, ensuring that every euro raised was transformed into real aid.
These were intense days of work, coordination, and effort. It wasn't easy, given the number of requests, but it was deeply rewarding. Seeing the community's response, feeling the support and involvement of so many people who participated in the initiative, reminded us why we do what we do.
